Eid-ul-Fitr the greatest festive of the Muslim community comes around the corner. The festival starts with the fasting of Ramadan. Muslims from all over the world prepare for this holy month with great zeal in the light of spirituality and faith for their Almighty Allah. After the 30 days of fasting, they, Eid-ul-Fitr consider being the precious ALLAH gift for His Muslims in exchange for 30 days fasts and all the rightful paths which are preached by their religion.

The festival brings joys, patience, sincerity, love, compassion, and brotherhood among the people. The Muslims around the world start the Eid celebrations by savor with their fellow Muslims after the dawn prayers which are followed with short preaching. In large halls or mosques, these prayers are taking place in different Muslim countries. After the Eid prayers, the Muslims greet each other with sweets, gifts, and hugs. The money is offered to the children or young ones from their elders. It is essential to wear new clothes and give alms and charity to the needy and poor especially on this joyous occasion. The families and relatives gather together and enjoy the celebration in the colors of Eid with smiles and love.

Every country has its ways to celebrate the holy festival by distributing the sweets and desserts which are cooked on the EID day. The variety of the spicy and exotic menu is served by every family in the spirit of togetherness and sharing food with their families. In the current year, the prayers of Eid have been canceled due to pandemics of coronavirus especially in Pakistan, Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arab urged the people to isolate themselves in their homes and pray at their homes or on large grounds by following the social distancing and avoid crowds and small places for prayers. He is at the view that mosques should not congregate in such an alarming situation of coronavirus cases with life-threatening trolls around the world.

The Eid-ul-Fitr 2020 comes with the restrictions, the sorrows, and the pandemic threats for the whole world. With the restrictions such as curfew and lockdown in many Muslim countries, it was different from the previous years. People have to strict themselves in their homes, recreational parks, malls, shopping centers, restaurants are closed for unlimited time to avoid coronavirus cases in the country. With the increasing cases of coronavirus which crosses millions and trillions of death trolls create havoc in the world. Countries like Italy, the USA, Russia, Brazil, Spain, UK, and Turkey are the top countries with maximum corona cases with alarming death rates. Other countries are facing the same situations as well. China is successful in overcoming the cases so that the death trolls are in control. Yet the coronavirus is spreading and death rates have threatened in the world. According to the latest survey report on the coronavirus in different parts of the world, the 4.8 million cases are recorded and almost 318, 0000 coronavirus cases end on death.

Several people are confined to spend their EID-ul-Fitr 2020 without their families. The travel restrictions in different parts of the world have imposed to restrain the Covid-19 expansion. No matter, the people have used social distancing during Eid prayers and wear masks as safety measures. The customs of sending Iftar as a sign of sharing food while fasting is also prohibited which creates disappointment among the people. Most parts of the countries don’t allow mosques for the prayers which add more distress and frustration in the Muslim communities. The countries which have not much strictness have the Eid prayers in open grounds or house with the prayer mat and masks. The mosques have special securities and disinfected sprays installed at the entrance of the gate to control the pandemic conditions. The temperature of the people and hand sanitizers were given to all the people before entering the mosque.

In some parts of countries, the roads are barren, cities are abandoned and the streets are deserted because all the recreational centers are under the spell of strict lockdown and curfew. The Eid-ul-Fitr 2020 comes with melancholy, boredom, and sadness for the Muslims. The strictness has controlled the coronavirus cases in some parts of the country and also some people are grateful to pray together and share quality time with their families at home.
