Its been a week when my mom had gotten ill. yes ill!!
on Friday morning, 5 am my papa woke me up, “get up!
get up!
your mom is not breathing properly!!
I woke up and ran to her. I found her unconscious.
We rushed to the hospital.
We went to the ER and asked the ER team to give her immediate treatment and they responded positively and started treating my mom.
They facilitated her ” CPEP” through which she started breathing and retained oxygen in her body.
After two to three hours she was stable.
Now its time to “COVID test”
doctor asked me to take her sample for COVID.
I said ok but deep down I was so nervous, “now what would be next? ”
so, turn to the next day. Mama was stable thanks to God, but we were anxiously waiting for their results.
Then on Sunday morning again at 5 am I received a call from my friend, who is working there.
He said.
“Mama has been diagnosed with COVID positive”
I was again shocked and yelling at him.
“why you didn’t let me stay there?
now how you people would tell her?
she is very soft-hearted, she can’t bear it. plz hold her, I will come right now plz…”
he said ” okay, do come soon”
when I reached there, the staff was preparing to shift her in the COVID ward and she was looking surprisingly.
I was standing far away and talking with her on phone and asked her to stay calm and she responded positively, that positivity made me strong.
now she shifted to the ward and we went to the home.
the home was feeling like a prison without her.
We quarantined ourselves and did our tests too.
and time has been running quickly. I daily checked her through calls and messages. All hospital staff did their work efficiently.
Then finally on Monday’s night, I received a call that your mom is stable thanks to God, you can take her home and isolate her at home and after that call, we all were so happy, felt like “life has come back”
then now time to our results.
“another exam of our life”
so after two days, we received our reports, and thanks to God we all are negative.
huff!! the tension has been released thanks to God.
my mom is still in isolation but she is doing much better thanks to God.
COVID-19 is so terrifying disease.
It kills a person mentally, more than physically.
Before this incident, we already quarantined ourselves, didn’t go anywhere, just at home.
Only I went to the hospital as I am working there but I was following all SOPS
and still, COVID hit us and it was more terrible.
Thanks to God now we all are doing better now.
After a week I went to my garden and trying to forget this nightmare and trying back to life.
