Netflix’s revival of the iconic Wednesday Addams was not only faithful to the original but it also took is an iconic character

A Gothic murder mystery with a twist of irreverent dark humor,

The set design is imbued with gothic elements which adds to the ominous atmosphere of the show. We tapped production designer Mark Scruton for intel on how the universe was created

For starters, Wednesday only wears black and white throughout the series, so everyone else around her is in color to make her visually stand out. “It sounds simple but it was challenging to put into practice,” said Miles Millar, a co-showrunner with Alfred Gough, in a press brief. “If you look at our background extras, for example, you will never see them wearing black or white.”

a perfect rendition of the wit, ability and fearlessness of the Wednesday Addams character. Jenna Ortega did a masterful job as the stoic young woman where slight nuances of facial expression were subtle but expressive moments of character development. I enjoyed all the performances and the story line was engaging enough.

Tim burton working on the Addams family revival is a match made in heaven and Jenna Ortega is the best portrayal after Christina Ricci,

According to the official Nevermore website, it is “an academic institution that nurtures outcasts, freaks, and monsters.” All weirdness is welcomed. From sirens to werewolves, there is a whole lot of weirdness Wednesday has to parse through. Wednesday moves to the normie town of Jericho, which becomes a target for monstrous murders. Meanwhile, Wednesday starts to be plagued by visions. This burgeoning psychic ability has been inherited from her mother, Morticia, and becomes an asset in helping her unravel the mystery at Nevermore and one from her parent’s past.

Aside from Wednesday, Bianca (Sunday) and Enid (Myers) had the richest development throughout the season. The former is struggling to find her own identity, separate from the pressure of the path her mother wants her to take, and the latter is not even close to living up to her parent’s expectations. It creates an interesting parallel between the two as they navigate their feelings’ impact and how to grow into themselves, given their circumstances. With Wednesday and many of the school’s young students, audiences can find a bit of truth to reflect on in their own lives- past, present, and future. It’s comforting to see supernatural people being vulnerable and dealing with the same pressures we do, albeit in a different way. Not only are they dealing with murders, monsters, and mayhem, but also the average growing pains.

he climax and conclusion of the series follow Wednesday, discovering the truth behind the mysteries, and by teaming up with her friends at Nevermore, they can defeat the most significant threat. It was exciting to see Enid wolfing out, but I will say that Tyler’s “monster” looks a bit ridiculous. The hyde has strong Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed vibes. Considering how dark and dreary everything else is, it’s a little jarring, but I’ll defend it as a camp for now

With her slightly Victorian pallour and dress sense, Wednesday ultimately led away from the dire cliches of goody-goody and compliant girl characters, with her dead-pan humour, and her refusal to bend to authority. This was not “the new Jan Brady” this was something much darker and more intoxicating, it appealed to our dark side, and still does. Wednesday…..Darlene Conner…..Fleabag.

the edition of enid as”ray of sunshine” is a stroke of genius move. And through it all Murphy has held our attention with his pained, handsome, watery-eyed charisma. No one delivers articulate tough-guy speeches with a glass of whisky and a hand-rolled cigarette like Tommy Shelb
