In the midst of the shadows,

She forever lived.

Had she died with the flows?

Was an unspoken myth.

Something akin to oxygen,

Was what she breathed.

To whizz from the darkness,

Was how she wanted freed.

Locked up with chains and cuffs,

Her eyes missed the lightening.

Blood dribbling down the side of her mouth,

She could feel her chest, tightening.

Dewed in sweat, shuddering in fear,

Looking for answers,

To questions that were mere.

A drowning girl behind the enforced smile,

A buoyant life was all that she wanted.

Depressed under hypnosis, living in a denial,

Did she even exist? Was all that she doubted.
