From a couple of months, the world is suffering from the pandemic coronavirus. Each day comes with new challenges. The free dance of death in our streets has caged us in our houses. Food, recreational activities, jobs, social services, gatherings, parties all come to an end. It was a slice of cake at the start to stay at home and work remotely but with the time, the situation gets worse. The brain goes numb with the boredom and frustration has affected the minds of the people. In a nutshell, the world is in the renovation phase while humans are caged for an unlimited time.

To kill the boredom and frustration at such a crucial time, we could have some interesting activities by staying at home.

  1. Cooking

Did someone say “Food”. The word itself makes us hungry. The brain starts visualizing the most exotic, tempting hot plate of our favorite dishes. Oh your mouth watering and stomach grumble. That’s the most common feeling we all have during the quarantine. Cooking not only serve the stomach but also its best relaxing therapy for mind and soul. It’s time to pamper yourself with your experimental cooking. Try new dishes, add your own flavor, experiment with your chef thoughts, and be the master chef of your life. If I share my experience, I tried the craziest recipes in my little kitchen. Some are disasters and some are Volla! Adding creamy dressings on my popcorns to making dumplings in my steamer, freezing chocolate puddings to cup macaroni’s list of my cooking experiments is long.

 

  1. Painting

The world is closed for the renovation, why not we renovate our houses. Every person is artistic in their own shells. Change the walls of the room, adding more vibrant colors to your favorite corner is not a bad idea. Show your art on your walls by different patterns, sketches, and designs. A theme room or corner in your house gets more attention. My friend used a cricket theme in her kid’s room because they love to play cricket and indoor cricket is the best idea to keep them safe at home. Adding black wall paint with the white patch of wickets design has make their room more like a cricket ground. With the green carpet as a cricket ground, the room has the true essence of a stadium.

 

  1. Be An Artist

Sketching, painting, coloring is an art which refreshes your mind and bring positivity in your life. It’s an image of thoughts that are not enslaved of words to express our emotions. There are many sketching techniques and tips shared on the internet with the best artists in the world. They also guide the material used to create the masterpiece of your art. It is the best time to decorate your albums, house walls, and show the world your artistic nerves.  My daughter loves to sketch her favorite celebrities, singers and she shared her art with the celebrities too. That gives her immense pleasure when they respond and appreciate her sketch. Now she is getting orders of her sketching from different people. Your sketch could be your earning hand. Time to create masterpieces.

 

  1. A Good Movie, Best Partner

Do you have a list of “Watch Later” list in your account? It’s time to open the list and start watching your favorite shows. Let’s grip popcorn, select your favorite couch, wear glasses, dim lights, and time to tour the fictional world with the imagination of romance, action, thrill, horror, comedy, and list goes on. A good movie highlight our mood. I prefer a blend of family, comedy, thrill, and action movies in all languages. But a good Series has the power to addict more powerful than drugs. Nowadays Turkish and the Korean series are captivating the audience. There are plenty of good thought-provoking documentaries as well which broaden the vision and entertain our minds. A good movie with a powerful message has the ability to add positivity in mind. It is also a healthy food for the mind and soul which everyone needs in this pandemic condition.

 

  1. Gardening

In this fast-paced world and hustle-bustle life, we need more fun and relaxation. Gardening is a healthy exercise of mind and body. Make your kitchen garden at home by simple tricks. I collect several seed of my favorite fruits and vegetables and sow them in my small pots. I water them daily and in a few weeks, little delicate buds smile at me. This is the most satisfying and relaxing therapy for me. Planting a seed, watering them daily, and watching them grow into a full healthy plant is worth watch. It creates a responsibility in you by taking care of plant-like your baby and give us pride when they fully grown. Gardening is also a true form of art. The flavor of fresh vegetables of the home garden is incomparable with the market.
