The smashing street-legal sports car- Lotus 3-Eleven 430 provides extreme madness on the roads. It is limited to 20 upgraded models worldwide, and the cost of this super-racer machine is $142,000 approx.
It was first revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2015. The vehicle immediately captured the attention due to its lightweight carbon-composite body and exceptional performance standards. During its development, the car completed the short circuit lap challenge and set a new production lap record for the German magazine successfully.
This new vehicle 3-Eleven is also a symbol of hope for the company as it was launched to celebrate the 70th anniversary and the company’s legacy and power dynamics. The CEO of Group Lotus- Jean Mark Gales, stated that they discovered a generation of truly-focused sports cars when they first uncovered this one. He also added that the new 3-Eleven 430 is an ultimate weapon and moves the benchmark in the track world.
Design
The car weighs over 920 kg and has a fully light-weighted carbon bodywork. The design is extremely light with a mid-mount V6 engine. Moreover, the supercharged V6 3.5-liter engine produces 430 hp with a speed of 0-60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 180 mph. This vehicle is two seconds quicker than its previous version of 3-Eleven with enhanced aerodynamics. The open cockpit and the lack of embellishment make the car more appealing to the crowd.
The lotus cars have always remained true to its design. The car covers a bespoke external, bonded aluminum chassis combined with a carbon-exposed body. Further, the design assimilates a rear diffuser, a splitter, and a rear wing. The car also has no windows, doors, or windshield.
What’s even more fascinating about this car is the trick display that provides a diagnostic screen for the driver to plug into different modes while driving. Further, the features also integrate a six-speed manual gearbox that is designed for a seamless experience. The satin black rear and front wheels provide great control combined with increased downforce that enables the driver to accelerate more power while turning or cornering. Overall, this new invention consists of four-piston calipers and J-Hook brake disks to reduce vibration and noise distortion.
Experience
This limited version vehicle is focused on simplicity and advanced abilities of a future sports car. According to Jean-Marc Gales, the 3-Eleven 430 is the ultimate beast and the future of the sports car.
The 3-Eleven Lotus Machine is named after a British maker who made only 311 of these. However, the 3-Eleven 430 is limited to 20 production units only. It’s sports-legal and safe to drive on the roads. It’s true that this car is made for road racers and not families.
So, if you’re also a die-hard fan of Lotus, you might love this one too. Although it’s a rare machine and you may hardly see one in motion but it’s a true beauty for sure. We Bet!
