Apple AirPods, what so good about it!

In today’s world, Technology is one such aspect that keeps on advancing daily. Earphones are one of the branches of technology that have greatly evolved in both design and features time. In early times there were only wired earphones then Bluetooth earphones were introduced and in today’s world, there are completely wireless earphones.

AirPods 1st Generation

The first generation AirPods was introduced on 13th December 2016. These earphones come with an inbuilt microphone which helps in removing background sounds and allows voice calls to carry out smoothly. Inside these AirPods is a custom-built Apple chip called “W1” which helps in maintaining the battery for the earphones plus allowing an interruption-free Bluetooth connection with the consumer’s device. To charge these earphones, the user just places them inside its box and close the lid from above.

The AirPods can provide its user with 5 hours of battery usage. But with 15 minutes of charge, you can get up to 3 hours of battery life. Also, you can communicate with Apple’s virtual assistant known as “Siri” by tapping on the Air Pod twice and command to carry out many useful tasks such as playing music, set alarms, etc.

Like every product of technology, The First generation AirPods also have some drawbacks.

Starting with the fact that over time, the battery of these earphones begins to wear down and as they do not have a replaceable battery, the only solution is to buy another pair of these.

Another minor disadvantage is that AirPods are not tightly attached to one’s ear and can easily be lost so the customer should take care of these or buy some sort of accessories to improve its safety.

Last but not the least, AirPods is an apple product due to it comes with a price tag that is quite higher than other competitors’ products in this category.

AirPods 2nd Generation

These were launched in March 2019. This is not a major upgrade from the 1st generation as the shape and design have remained the same and just a few improvements have been made. This Generation comes with an “H1’ chip which provides faster connection speed and improved sound quality than its predecessors. The 2nd Generation also has much better battery performance and now the battery is much more durable and would have a longer life span. A major advantage over the previous Generation is that the consumer could communicate with Siri just by saying “Hey Siri” and Siri would be ready to fulfill your commands.

AirPods Pro

The AirPods Pro is the best wireless earphones that Apple has to offer. These were started by Apple on October 30, 2019. The AirPods Pro is far better in every aspect of both the 1st and 2nd Generation AirPods. Unlike the Previous AirPods, these come with silicon tips and there are tips of 3 different sizes inside the box so that the customer can find his perfect fit. These AirPods are IPX4 certified which means that you can take them to the gym or can also take a swim with them. A special feature in these is a Transparency mode which when activated cut out all the surround sounds and allows the users to enjoy their music. The design of this generation is not similar to its predecessors hence a new wider charging case is also created especially for AirPods Pro.
