There will be a time when the world would suffer from all types of wars (nuclear and atomic etc) on the basis of religious, social, and political views. It is certain that the long-term effects of war would pose an altogether different set of challenges for the medical care units. Maintenance of a reasonable standard of health may be impossible without the rapid recovery of the main basic needs like petroleum, petrochemicals, electronics, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals. In the absence of these, it is nearly impossible to imagine how the potential for the transmission of disease could be under control. There can be a possibility than only a few casualties survive, just like an apocalypse. Providing that the survivors endure this period, they would face similar difficulties outside. The lack of sanitary systems, the absence of power for refrigeration, and the presence of millions of unburied dead. As the people who survived and witnessed the previous two world wars lost families, supplies, houses, and even cities. So there will be no evolution in technology for a long time at least because the first priority would be to stabilize the things as they were before. There will be no vehicles so people have to walk or ride on animals like in the middle ages. No mobile phones or WiFi to communicate as the systems are disrupted.
The other reason we can figure out is that the basic purpose of technology was to serve humanity in the easiest ways, but with the help of technology, mankind could be destructed as Stephen Hawking warned about artificial intelligence, as with the help of artificial intelligence a machine can think itself and can improve it by self. It means machines will become more powerful than human beings on earth. We are becoming slaves of technology, without technology we could not even move from one place to another, now mobiles are telling directions and addresses, clothes are washed in washing machines, even we have no need to use hand fans, means everything could be possible with the help of technologies. It is pretty convenient but it can be dangerous in the coming time as it can invent things on its own. According to this perspective, it will not affect technology but it can be a threat to humanity. The last decade has been very progressive in terms of promising technological advancements and transformations. We are observing unprecedented developments in all the areas of science and technology due to the heavy investment in education, research and development, innovation, and entrepreneurship all over the world. New technologies are converging and making our life easier and more efficient and yet we are likely to see disruptive innovations that have never been considered before. This landscape of technological convergence is the cradle of many new products, processes, and services, and blurring the existence of old-school technologies due to innovation, which is considered as the creative destruction of the 21st century. The modern era of the fourth industrial revolution with emerging and enabling technologies and systems.
But, I can safely assure you, that so long as this roof shuts out the sky, the youth will forever be content with their place in the universe, and so will our technological advancement. There will never come a point when there will be no ups and downs at the rate of technological advancement and we are living at a plateau where the rate is gradually but continuously slowing down. the expansion of technology is endless. Regardless of the fact that how much the rate of new advancements of technology has decreased, there will always be room for more. Although it will get harder and harder to make new inventions that are able to be useful and top the current inventions, these inventions will always have flaws. Each and every new invention, no matter how good and useful it is, it will always have flaws. Technological advancement may not always be about creating new inventions, but also about improving our present inventions. our society becomes increasingly content with its state of being, our world slowly but surely, shows signs of declining efficiency in innovation. Personally, I would see new technology as something innovative that supplies a potential function of enhancing or preserving life, whether through extending life i.e: health care, defending life i.e weaponry or providing new options for tasks/recreation, or even new activities altogether, that we cannot even contemplate currently. Now, this is where it is going to get massively philosophical.
Although technology has progressed a very long way, some sources argue whether or not it will reach the point of no more advancement. But the above mention facts and discussion make it all clear in our minds that no matter how the circumstance will be in the upcoming years, there will always be technological advancement. So, there’s no reason for humanity to reach a point when there will be no technological advancements. Personally, I would see new technology as something innovative that supplies a potential function of enhancing or preserving life – whether through extending life (health care), defending life (weaponry) or providing new options for tasks/recreation, or even new activities altogether, that we cannot even contemplate currently. Now, this is where it is going to get massively philosophical.
