CALMING TECHNIQUE
The main goal of calming meditation is to create a quieter, peaceful state of mind to improve concentration.
Mostly in calming meditation practices, we focus on a particular object(your breath, a visualization in your mind) and then return to that object when you get distracted or notice your mind starts wandering around.
Here you try to not think anything and just keep the focus on one thing.
INSIGHT TECHNIQUE
People who practice insight meditation often set a goal to transform their minds.
Their main goal is to make themselves more wise or compassionate.
It involves focusing on the breath and being aware of all the physical or mental sensations.
Basically here you are aware of your surroundings and environment.
REFLECTION TECHNIQUE
In this technique, you have to ask yourself a question like “What are you most grateful for?” or “What have you done in your life that makes you happy?”
Be aware of the feelings because feelings are the main focus here, nor the thoughts that keep arising.
